On the occasion of St. Sava’s Day (27 January), an exhibition of archival documents entitled “St. Sava Celebrations: Observance of St. Sava’s Day in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes/Yugoslavia, 1918–1945” was installed in the central hall of the Archives of Yugoslavia.

Through several major thematic sections—regulations; St. Sava celebrations in primary and secondary schools; celebrations organized by the Serbian Orthodox Church; associations and societies; St. Sava celebrations and St. Sava–themed events at universities; and St. Sava celebrations abroad—the exhibition presents the practice and significance of the observance of St. Sava’s Day in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes/Yugoslavia from 1918 to 1945.

The author of the exhibition is Dragan Teodosić, senior archivist, with contributions by Đurđija Borovnjak, Marko Davidović, Aljoša Popović, and Siniša Tadić. The exhibition is open to the public until 12 February 2026. In addition to its physical presentation, the exhibition is also available in electronic form on the official website of the Archives of Yugoslavia.

In the presence of the Archives’ staff, the exhibition was ceremonially opened by Dr. Milan Terzić, Director of the Archives of Yugoslavia.
