100 Years of the First Orthopedics in Banjaluka (1915-2015)

The exhibition of documents The Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation "Dr. Miroslav Zotović" Banjaluka, 100 Years of the First Orthopedics in Banjaluka (1915-2015) was opened in the Archives of Yugoslavia. Within long-standing cooperation with the Archives of the Republic of Srpska the exhibition of documents Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation "Dr. Miroslav Zotović" Banjaluka, 100 Years of the First Orthopedics in Banjaluka (1915-2015) was opened on December 9, 2105 in the Archives of Yugoslavia and monograph 100 Years of the First Orthopedics in Banjaluka (1915-2015) was presented there as well. The exhibition was organized by the Archives of the Republic of Srpska, the Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation "Dr. Miroslav Zotović" – Banjaluka and the Department for the History of Medicine of the Serbian Medical Society. Director of the Archives of Yugoslavia, Miladin Milošević addressed the audience- representatives of social and political life and diplomatic corps in the Republic of Serbia as well as ambassador of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Serbia Lazar Mirkić and the Director of the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in Serbia and congratulated Institute of Physical Medicine the anniversary. Director of the Archives of the Republic of Srpska, Bojan Stojnić MA, talked about the exhibition and Doctor Zoran Vacić from Serbian Medical Society talked about the monograph. Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Dragan Bogdanić opened the exhibition pointing out that this Institute in the course of last hundred years played an important role in both Banjaluka and beyond and that today this Institute is at its "golden age". The present were addressed by the director of the Institute "Dr. Miroslav Zotović" Goran Talić and the Head of the Orthopedics Dr. Slavko Manojlović. During opening ceremony, medallions were awarded and letters of thanks to the medical institutions and deserving individuals from Serbia who cooperate with the Institution "Dr. Miroslav Zotovic" from Banjaluka. On the behalf of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia, Dr. Berislav Vekić received the medallion and the Institute for Orthopedic – Surgical Diseases "Banjica" and Clinic for Rehabilitation "Dr. Miroslav Zotović" from Belgrade, Clinic for Rehabilitation of the Clinical Center of Serbia and Clinic for Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology of the Military Medical Academy were also awarded medallions.
