Exhibition "Ivo Andric in Diplomacy" will be opened in Archives on 10th October

Within activities marking the 50th anniversary of the Nobel Prize being awarded to Ivo Andrić, the Archives of Yugoslavia will open an exhibition of archival documents Ivo Andrić in Diplomacy.

The exhibition will be opened by Predrag Marković, minister of culture, information and information society of the Republic of Serbia, on Monday, 10th October 2011 at 1 p.m.

The archival records document 21 years of Ivo Andrić’s diplomatic career. His diplomatic posts include eight countries and ten cities: Vatican, Bucharest, Trieste, Graz, Marseille, Paris, Madrid, Brussels, Geneva and Berlin.  

The exhibition encompasses 152 documents: the decree on appointment, diplomatic reports, photographs of diplomatic representative offices of the Kingdom of SCS/Yugoslavia where Ivo Andrić worked.
The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue with an introductory text by Miladin Milošević.

The authors of the exhibition are Dusan Jončić and Jelena Djurišić, historians – archivists of the Archives of Yugoslavia.
