Topic: Non-aligned Movement (Nam) in the Cold War: A true alternative?
In the period from 24 to 26 May 2012, the international conference “Non-aligned Movement (NAM) in the Cold War: A true alternative?” was held at the Archives of Yugoslavia, organized by London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE Ideas), Archives of Yugoslavia and Archives of Serbia. The Conference was opened by Svetozar Rajak on behalf of LSE Ideas, Director General Miroslav Perišić on behalf of the Archives of Serbia, and Acting Director General Miladin Milošević on behalf of the Archives of Serbia.
Among some twenty scholars – participants of the Conference, mostly from abroad (Greece, England, India, France and the United States of America), were globally renowned experts in Cold War history, Prof. Arne Westad from LSE and Robert J. MacMahon from the University of Ohio.
In addition to the scholars, some of the former Yugoslav diplomats also shared their view on the subject.
Among other attendees, HE Mrs Nengcha Lhovum Mukhopadhaya, Ambassador of India to the Republic of Serbia, was also present for a while at the Conference. All the participants agreed that the Conference was a highly successful one.

Topics: "Protection of Emerging Archival Material – Challenges of 21st century (in view of e-business)" and "Digitalisation or Microfilming?"
The Society of Archivists of Vojvodina, Archives of Vojvodina and Historical Archives of City of Novi Sad organised an international conference held in Andrevlje, on the slopes of Fruška Gora. Over the two days, which was the duration of the Conference, the total of 30 papers were presented, authored by archivists from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia and Serbia. The representative of the Archives of Yugoslavia, Olivera Porubović-Vidović, presented her paper entitled "Microfilm Renaissance in Archives of Yugoslavia".
